One note when installing into a retaining wall like Paul has done, make sure the pole is completely encased in concrete. Do not install it such that the dirt is in contact with the steel as this could cause corrosion issues in the future. Also, note that on most systems, you cannot sink the pole more than about two feet as the adjustment handle will hit the ground. Lastly, the Pro Dunk systems are good systems for retaining wall applications because they can be adjusted down. Theoretically the Gold model could be installed five feet above the court surface and still be lowered to a regulation ten foot rim height.
